Plans Filed for 14-Home Subdivision in the Heart of Cross River
Formal plans have been filed for the nearly 15-acre property at 831 Route 35, historically known as the Reynolds property.
The proposal calls for 14 homes in a gated development in the center of Cross River, along one of Lewisboro’s most congested stretches of Route 35 and in an environmentally sensitive area near the Cross River and adjacent to the Ward Pound Ridge Reservation.
The Lewisboro Planning Board is scheduled to review the application on:
Tuesday, July 21, 2026, at 7:30 p.m.
79 Bouton Road, South Salem
All documents filed with the Town of Lewisboro by the developer can be found on the Documents page of this web site.
The filed proposal would place 14 homes, an internal roadway and related infrastructure on approximately 15 acres.
The site plan is detailed and can be difficult to interpret. When reviewing it, please note:
Route 35 runs along the bottom of the plan.
The proposed entrance to the gated development would be on Mark Mead Road.
The plans indicate that most of the existing trees on the property would be removed.
The development would require extensive grading, road construction, wells, septic systems, stormwater facilities and other site work.
Residents are encouraged to review the plans, email the Planning Board at planning@lewisborony.gov with concerns or questions before the meeting, and attend the meeting to observe the town’s review.
